Default LT1 --> LT4

I was thinking about converting my LT1 into the LT4 and slapping on a STS turbo. Anyone else running with a LT4 alone or with a power adder? Hows it bite?

I would recommend going with Trickflow heads over the LT4s especially if I were running a turbo. The combustion chambers are a little larger (62 cc versus 54.4 cc for the LT4) which would give you a beter CR for FI applications. Another benefit is with the Trickflow heads, you can use your stock LT1 intake. LT4 intakes are no longer being manufacturered and are getting hard to come by.

Which cam would be the best for street/strip that meets emissions standards? I know and see alot of people who use the lt4 hotcam, with the STS I shouldnt need a special type of cam because it doesnt spool the same as other turbos. Unless I do.

I'm running a 385 LT4 with AFR heads in my '94. See my thread in this forum for loads of details.
