Default Oil leak question

With Search being dead at the moment...

Oil coming down in the front is bad, right? Of course it is. (theres every chance in the world that I'm leaking from the rear too, but thats for another post, as this front leak seems particularly...leaky.)

The question is, what did I break to cause it?

And the reason for this question is so that I know what I have to fix.

Wish I could. It's coming off somewhere in the front of the motor. It's dark so I havent gotten a chance to get under there yet (and probably wont for awhile)

Either way, its coming down practically dead center nd looks to be dripping off the front swaybar.

Sorry I cant be more helpful at this point. I'm half bombed.

As pointed out in the above post there are several possiblities for the front oil leak. Intake manifold, any one or combination of the three seals in the timing cover, timing cover gasket, and lastly the oil pan seal.

It could be like the above mentioned oil pan, crank seal, intake, wp drive seal or the distributor seal. I recently had a bad leak coming from my dist. seal. I didn't realize this till later that I wan't suposed to grease or lubricate the seal for the distributor according to felpro. Some one please correct me if I have the wrong info, I have yet to start and run the engine to see if it's fixed.

I never greased or lubed that seal. Never had a leak from that seal either.

As for the aforementioned problem, I would say it's the seal around the water pump drive. I had the problem and it was "particularly leaky" as described. Better hope you don't get oil in the opti!

I think that's part of the reason I had so many spark problems. I had a shitty reman anyway and that damn drive was leaking like hell.
