Default headers for LT1

I tried to use search feature but it wasnt getting anything.
I am looking to get a set of LT headers in the next month to put on the TA. I was curious, what will net me the most hp? I looked at pacesetters, but am a little leary on quality, I've heard others mention hookers. But being new to V8's I'm a little lost. It seems everyone kinda promotes their own personal favorite. So anyone who has #'s for their header improvement would be ideal

My current mods are in sig.

Pacesetter LTs are VERY high quality. Thick flanges, great coating, good welds, and most of all, excellent fitment. Can't really ask for more than that.

Oh, and I went from a 13.6@101 to 13.2@105 with the Pacesetter LTs.

Glad to hear. I guess they get a bad rap due to being lower priced than most competitors.
MattZ28, what other mods did you have at the time of that run?

That run was on BFG drag radials on 16x8 salad shooters in the rear, with 17x9 10-spokes up front. SLP CAI, tune, 3.73's, cutout, elec water pump...basically everything in the sig minus the welds, tranny/stall, 12-bolt, MSD/NX, and X-pipe.

Also, the Pacesetter mid-lengths are **** which is why most people think the LTs are crap as well. However, the quality is WAY different. The LT's are top notch.

Thanks! Have you ever dyno'd your current setup? I am in desp need of a tune, but was told I should pick up 5%, so I wold be looking at 310-ish rwhp and 320-ish tq, I hope the headers could add some nice numbers to that!

I just ordered pacesetters from TSP. They're supposed to arrive on the 30th. Lowest price I've seen for them is $397 shipped, whereas the lowest price I've seen for JetHot's are $490 + shipping.

You have a 96 A4 trans am with just a catback and intake and dynoed 296Rwhp?? Wow... Your car should run 12's...

MAYBE a TB, but yeah other than that, thats all I was told at the dyno shop it has. This car used to have Jet Hot headers, a torque converter, and drag radials, and the owner said he ran like a 12.5-12.7 in it.

I have pacesetters LTs and they are of great quality and the price on them was very reasonable.

I just ordered my kooks headers and y pipe i will let you know how they are i have heard nothing but good things about them. the only problem is they are pricey.
