2 - Obd II Code
2 - Obd II Code Hey everyone, Ive got a 96 Z with about 400 horse and a NOS 100 wet shot on top of that. About 400 miles into the break in on my buildup the pcm started throwin 2 codes. P1657, and P0100. The only thing i know is what they definition of the problem for each is. If anyone can tell me if the two problems are connected, or how to fix, or any info . . . that would b great.

when I installed an aftermarket elbow my 97 formula threw a p0100 code at me, check the wires going into the MAF, i had to kremp my wires back and it repaired the code. You probably damaged the sensors or the wires. MY suggestion would be to buy a new MAF pigtail. As for the p1657, though not an exact code, my resource book claims that to be fuel/ air lean problem. But I am unsure of its route. I'm guessing its a result of high NOS use. Its probably due to decreased fuel from an over oxidized charge. If that helps

P1657 is your skip shift solenoid control circuit.
