pistions at 30 pounds ok well i have been having problems with my carfor a while so itgot to a point where i took it to a shop...the end result was they told me i dotn have any compression in cylinder one...its not even firing, cylinder 3 is at 30 pounds and cylinder 5 is at 60 pounds...he also says it looks like theres more internal engine problems and i need a new motor...now i dont know what to do...i was fixing my car to sell it and now i dont know if its worth it to drop more money into the car to just sell it or to part it ou and count my losses...i dont know about he compression.. was thinkg it could be a head gasket too a???...im not really sure..any help on this one would be good..thanks in advance

When doing a compression test, you should have a gauge that will hold the highest pressure reading. When you turn the motor over, it will slowly build up higher with each stroke. When it stops climbing, thats your reading.
All cylinders should be within 10% of each other for a stock motor.
If you had a head gasket blow, you will most likely see coolant in your oil. Sometimes the gasket can fail between two cylinders though, and that wouldnt show any coolant in the oil.
When my motor went, it wouldnt build over 30psi in cylinder #1 no matter what. My #5 was fine, but #7 was at 70psi. The rest of my cylinders were all between 145psi and 155psi.
If your not sure about the results of your compression test, do a leakdown test, it will definitely let you know whats going on.

uh, he's not igniting fuel to do a compression test.
It does sound like it could be a blown head gasket between the two cylinders though. That could explain why he gets erratic readings. Like I said, a leakdown test would confirm the culprit.
Pre-ignition from the juice could very well have caused a blown head gasket. Whenever you get it fixed, you should have your tune checked to make sure your not detonating when you spray.
