noise when launching

noise when launching when i launching from a dead stop i hear a like a thumping noise coming from under the car, im going to take a look at it 2morrow but i want get some more info on what too look for
thumping noise where is the noise coming from front or back could be motor or trans mount, bad shocks allowing you to bottom out or lose exhaust pipe and check your torque arm mount at both ends
