Default Ported TB or MAF???

I've seen some people talking about having ported TB's on there LS1's. Can you do this for an LT1 and is it worth it? Also, what is the deal with a ported MAF? I would think that would make your car run bad and wouldn't do anything...I have a 94 Z with LT headers, Matching Y-pipe and a CAI. I can't really think of any more little mods I can do, until I save up for the converter.

Ported TB usually= more hp 7-10 at the wheels and better throttle response when done right. Ported MAf usually= headaches, sometimes peeps have no problems though

Unless you're making big power and are getting/have a tune, dont port the MAF. My buddy ported his on his 98 WS6 and had some drivability issues. His dad is a EE at Delphi and said it wasnt a good idea.
