Exclamation Idle problems

about one year ago I had a nitrous back fire. (before I installed Msd.)
Since that time I have had a higher idle(about 1200) I have changed the TB gasket, replaced Iac motor and O-ring. i have checked all my vacum hoses. I am unsure what else might be leaking... I need a little help

Is the throttle body spring moving as it should? Check your PCV valves, I had a similar situation, but it resulted on one of the pcv valves staying open... Don't know how it stayed open, I replaced the one in the intake and it solved problem.

Also when I'm coming to a stop(not a panic stop) but semi hard stop the idle shoots to 2100.....

Sounds more like an internal vaccum leak on your brake booster....

one more thing to consider is you intake manifold gaskets. it may of caused a vacume leak by blowing out part of the gasket.

Should be leaking some oil too if it's intake gasket.

check the check vale on the brake booster that may be cousing the problem if you let the car sit over night then try to pull the hose from the booster if it does not hve vacum the valve is letting it bled back into the engine

sounds more like an intake gasket, probably blown on the lower side, if so you won't hear a vaccum leak.

that depends on where it blows out, on top it won't, on bottom it may.

I think slolt1 hit it there, might be the check valve on the booster.

Dude, I bet you blew the welds off the intake! (sorry couln't resist)

Have you checked the TPS maybe it was a coincedence that it started after the backfire. Just giving you other ideas.
