Default buildup on a budget... 355???

Hey guyz, now that my bolt-ons are done, I wanna get started on the motor before the toll of college hits my wallet in the fall. Heres my idea; leave the crank, and punch it .030. Next, get some forged 6" rods and pistons. Top it with AI's LTx castings, the 200's. Can this be done right for around 3-3.5k??? I want a stout 355, instead of a cheaply done, lazy 383. This is my everyday horse, so its gotta be drivable. I go to the track every now and then, but not regulary. Red lights, Hondas, and 4.6's are addictive though, and I want a nasty street machine.
Lemme know what you guys think, I know you've got the opinions!

Are you saying you want to go forged on rotating assembly stuff for nitrous use or are you wanting a daily driver thats got some extra get up and go? Id say budget in a solid cam setup.

The top end alone will probably cost 3k total. Figure about 7-8k total.
