did you just order the cam or the whole kit?

the hot cam kit comes with rocker arms, spring, retainers... and its like 450-550
pretty good deal

not to be ignorant but why? its just going to cost you more money.
the springs arent the best in the hot cam kit but they plenty for that cam.

i wouldn't say they're plenty.........(even though i have them)

they're designed for the lighter LT4 valves and are rated to .525" lift which is what the hotcam's lift is with 1.6s. the hotcam peaks out pretty early so people don't tend to spin it that high and coil bind isn't really an issue that often. i'm not saying they're crap, and i run them myself, but since you dind't get the kit i'd suggest going ahead and getting some better springs. those LT4 springs can be had for VERY cheap if you still want them. just contact jason cromer at sam taylor cadillac.
