I am currently in the process of installing the LE2 package in my 97 WS6, but I was wondering if I would need a better lifter to go with this setup. My stock lifters are still in good condition, but I question if they will be able to perform as well as a aftermarket set.

 

Not sure what's in Lloyd's LE2 package, but hopefully your doing a bigger cam, if hydraulic which sounds like it is, definitely upgrade your lifters. You can do a search online for CompR lifters for example (several good brands out there), which explain in gory detail why you should upgrade.

 

or why you shouldnt. the new style comp "r"s are trash. if you go with them get the earlier style with the thick c-clips on them.

i personally used morals (sp). they are about 4-500 bucks a set and are great. even a set of GM OEM lifters would be fine too.
