Default LT1 Stroker Guys In Here!

My motor is coming apart soon and I'm thinking about stroking it. My stock crank is already shotpeened and micropolished, with Scat forged H-beam rods and TRW 8.0-1 forged pistons. I could sell these parts (3,000 miles) to help offset the cost. Should I stroke it, or just freshen it up? What stroker combos have you guys found to be "satisfying"!?

IMHO if you already have that combo I would just go turbo or up the boost

Stroke it! It doesn't cost much more than "freshining up" a 350, and the torque is so much better!

Well I'm allready @ 14lbs of boost out of the P-1SC so unless I go D-1SC I'm maxed out for now. Hmmmmm to stroke or not to stroke?

I HAVE to take it apart anyway, (no oil pressure) but not to worry, a 9-inch, slicks, UMI chassis mounted T/A, and cage will all be in before summer.

well if you have oil Pressure you are not really freashing things up

So having just crawled out of a new Z06 the only thing I can say is ...buy a LS7 454 RWHP and 422RWTQ bone stock!

Stroke it! And up the blower to a D1-sc... The brackets I believe are the same.

If all your parts are fine I believe I would just get a different cam or something. Under a blower, I don't think a few cubes would be too noticeable.

unless you got the money burning a hole in your pocket

plus with that low of compression you can up the boost alot... so just save for the bigger blower

I didn't know that it wouldn't be as noticeable on a blown car. Thanks for the info. My current cam is a GM Hotcam .525 lift and 112 ls I believe. It's looking like the smartest thing to do is fix what is wrong, freshen it up, get the chassis stuff taken care of, and if I still need any more HP, it can always be sprayed in! Agreed?

My bottom end is pretty much the same as yours but I have a CC305 cam(great blower cam 220/230 .544/.544 114). The TRW piston is an awesome piston for the money. Qwik ? did you change your MAP sensor to a 2-Bar or 3-Bar?

leave it and turbo, no stroker, i have one and it is pointless now a days. there are 355ci cars out there making a 1000 rwhp in street trim, just something to think about.
