Auto tranny Question? Would my 94 4l60e work in any 93-97 lt1 or just obd1 cars or can it work in obd2 car also? I thought my trans works in any 93-97. I hope so i need to sell my trans asap
Actually at least in the b-body and I am fairly sure in the f-body 93 is 93 only 95=95, 96 I believe would be a direct swap for a 97.
The 94+ trannies have a electronically controlled valvebody at least on the b-body that was not the case in 93, 95 introduced pulse width modulation which underwent some changes for 96. This is not to say the tranny can not be made to work in other years just that there can and will be issues with some interchanges. The OBD1/2 thing means almost nothing to this.
