Did you end up getting your plugs? I have ran autolite 106's in all of my LT1's no problems. Im currently in the middle of doing plugs and wires on both my 94 Z28 and my 01 SS right now! Just ran in to do a search and check gap. Where in NJ are you located? The TA is looking good! Back to tearing up my knuckles

It's really a simple choice.

If you want a good, high quality plug that will last around 25K miles before it needs changing, get the NGK TR55.

If you want a good, high quality plug that will last around 50K miles before it needs changing, get the stock AC delco plugs.

So you're saying the stock plug is the better choice???

No, I am saying that stock AC delcos will last longer then the TR55's. That's why no where did I say one was "better". If your teh kind of person (like me) who keeps all parts up to spec all the time, TR55's are great. You just need to change them about twice as much as delcos. If you want reliability over an extended period of time, Delcos will do this. For a performance base, they both are about the same. One just lasts a little longer.

Aren't the Delcos platinum? The platinum lasts longer, but if you're playing with nitrous, copper is the only way to go cuz they take the juice whereas platinum gets brittle.

Hmmm... jeez there is so much to take into consideration lol. The motor is stock, but I want plugs that'll last. When I said "performance plug" I didn't mean an increase in HP. I meant an accurate, reliable, long-lasting plug. Should I go platinums? Or even Iridiums?

I'll say get some platinums, before autolites, I used to have Champion platinums and those were great. I takes me a little bit of time to change spark plugs on my t/a, so a longer lasting plug is ideal.

Dont mess around and just put in the factory AC Delco plugs it came with from the factory. You cant go wrong with them and they could last up to about 100k miles. Trust me.

Get AC Delcos. They'll last for 100k (a good thing on an LT1 seeing as how they're a bitch) and they run great. They're way ******* cheaper than that NGK crap too.

There is NO performance difference between a stock AC Delco plug and the NGKs. The only difference is in your head, created by careful marketing.

I have NGK TR-55's and couldn't be happier. I had problems with hesitation during hard acceleration so I put those plugs on as well as some Napa 7mm wires and wal lah it run like a champ!
