Naw full flush and new bearings. We have the whole frount suspenion out and the top end off. would have been just as easy to pull it I guess.
Just pissed about the whole situation and everyone claiming they know WTF happened and they have no F..ing clue

No problems Jim. I do under Stand where you are coming from and did try to cover some of those bases. I have in the past used many different Rev kits and never had an Issue with one till now my self
This motor runs fairly well. She pulled 412 RWHP and 422 RWTQ N/A SAE un-locked and ran my 3,800lbs car to 11.47@118 other then this problem all has been good. Well and it appears that even though we clearanced the heck out of the oil pan the number 1 and 2 rods were hitting it
Guys I do under stand it should not have had an Issue ...but it was. This post was more to warn others of a possible problem that could hurt there new engine more then any thing else SO far the only thing we can come up with to fix the problem is not to use it and roll the dice the spider will not kick off a lifter retainer like Ed Write had happen...

This really sucks Ellis!!! I can't say I have ever, in all my years of being around cars, seen a guy that is as careful about picking the right parts, or as **** about doing the job right as you are. I guess it just proves the saying **** happens.
If I can get some time away from my car this weekend I'll come over & help. I wanna see that beast back on the track running 10s & beating my supercharged LS1 car!

I suspect this kit KILLED my cam bearings after 2800 or so miles, this kit had the cam shoved down on the DRY bearings on startup...I see no need for this kit, I will never use or advise the use of one again. I had metal in my engine from the word go and it got worse along with oil pressure dropping at high rpm..so I pulled the engine.

If it is indeed the high lift that is causing this then the kit is self defeating, it is exactly those applications where you would want the safety margin . On the plus side at least now we have Beehives which get the job done with less pressure thereby hopefully reducing the likelyhood of breakage.
Before beehives were available I had looked at this kit as more a way to put some valvetrain spring pressure and therefore lifter control on the body rather than the plunger and risking lifter damage with BIG cams, once beehives came around is when I began to see it as more of a safety device.

Ugh...this so sucks. I'm going to put a 230/236 cam in my 350 so it is going to pull 6500-6600 rpms. I talked to a guy with the same cam and he said his car did much better between 6-6.5k with the kit, now I don't know if I should risk using it or just say **** it.
