Looks to me like the difference in custom pistons and a new block is about the same. Well not new, but another block. Custom pistons are $800 you say so I'm guessing you can get .060" over for $500 or less. Another block would be about $300 don't you say? Sounds like it's either/or on this one. Another block would probably be a touch sturdier but you wouldn't know the difference, only in your head.
