if you do it, go with the 9 inch tail shaft
i'm actually planning on doing it once i get my new daily driver...if nothing else, the automatic makes for a much more concistant car....and a whole lot easier to get out of the hole.

I swaped out the M6 for a th350. The car picked up so much time that I actually run faster on motor with the th350 than I ever did on spray with the M6. I did other small things along with the trans swap, but everything the same other than the trans I would say the car would pick up 7-8 tenths.

Is your trans good, Im thinking about doing a 6speed swap so if your doing a auto you might have a buyer for a 6speed conversion.

I only ask is the trans perfect? Im on a real budget and cant afford to get fucked over...

I went from the 4L60 to a th350 and I miss the overdrive ALOT. I wouldnt go from an m6 to 3-speed. You might see a gain with a stall converter but it will be more from the consistency of the auto trans as compared to the driver error/quickness factor of the manual. Drive the m6 around in 4th gear on the freeway, you'll see what I mean about no crusing. I bought an adapter for my TCI trans that let me keep the 4l60 tailshaft, speedo sensor, and TQ arm mount.
