Your car does have a speed limiter, its not because of T-Tops, but because your car was ordered new without z-rated tires, I bet your car also came from factory with the 115-120 mph gauges.

Yea, i understand its governd man. But like 5.7LT1 said its not because of the TTOPS is the Tires. As for the Programmer, get one used. The seller should put his stock tune back on his car and the hypercrap back on the programer, you can get one used and save cash or get one new for more $$$$$. Its going to be the same outcome either way.

get a used one. even if you don't want a used buy it then buy a new one from summit, put the used one in the box and send it back to summit for a refund. then you will have a brand new one

Which is about the biggest waste of money I can possibly think of in the tuning area.

To the original poster, if you just want to remove the speed limiter, get a mail order tune for $50. That is one fifth the amount for the same result.

If you want to do more advanced stuff, you can buy a cable and some real tuning software for less than that and do a whole lot more with it.

The hypertech is really one of those mods that does not make sense for any application.

pcmforless or madz28.... both of them can get ur governer removed and give you an actual performance gain unlike the hypercrap.
