It definatly is loud, just depends on whether you like loud or not. If you like your exhaust loud, you will love that combo.

Yeah, its a personal taste issue. Would be too loud for me to drive regularly (which is why I have a muffler and an electric cutout).

Agreed it is personal preference. My car with no cat, manifols and opened Borla was loud inside the car. Now I get to read results cause I have LT's,off road y pipe, and open Borla so we will see if I go deaf. If I where you just hit up that sound clips page to give yourself a better perspective of what you may be in for.

you can do a search on sounds and find a ton of examples of what your going with. Also ls1sounds.com has the same setup.

My and my buddy just installed LT on his LS1 and he had a GMMG (no muffler or anything) on it. It was really really raspy (sounded kinda bad on the inside) but sounded mean on the outside. Again a little raspy at WOT. it IS loud. Even idle too. Anyways let us know how it goes!

Definately up to the individual.
Me...It rocks!
Really a unique sound too.
Most of the f-body crowd around here have Magnaflow, Corsa etc.,
and I always get asked
What kind of exhaust is that!?

Edit:
Forgot to add. I daily drive mine and after a long day at work or school, it is really quiet relaxing to hear it rumble. Makes me smile everytime.

personally I think it would sound awesome. Ive got LT's with true dual/x-pipe and glasspack mufflers nad its way to tame for me. Im gonna run open pipes till I can get some small bullets.

yeah kinda hard to get the effect unless you have a killer pc sound system, even then the recording quality might be limited to the camera/camcorder. Wish I could help you more, think someone posted this for you http://www.lt1engine.com/soundlib/. GMMG has always been the runner up to the Borla for me, with LTs they all sound pretty decent with a cam in the LT1s.
