Default [LT1] Trans Am vs Z28 vs Formula

I have nothing against either car, I just want to see what the general conscience was.

Stock for stock, same color, same engine, same transmision, same rear end gears, same year. (Let's say 1996)

This is from a apperance/comfort standpoint.

Damn, this is a hard one. Im gonna have to think about it for a while. Its just weird, like, a hard top formy makes me wanna blow a load, but a sweet, clean z is awsome, but, I can't hate on the T/A's.... I love em all...

I'd have to go with the T/A, WS6/SS or not, i mean the LT1 T/A pulls off the basic stock hood off a lot better then the LS1's or the LT1 formula's, and the SS Z28 is a close second for me, but honestly, there isnt so much of a difference that i wouldnt uy one for, if i had a choice of the 3 with all the same things and same price then id just out the names in a bag and pick on out

Well I've owned 2 Z28s, a Berlinetta, and I've owned a 25th Anni. T/A.. I've never owned a Formula but there is NOTHING hotter than a black, hardtop formula M6 car.

Those of you that have firebirds.. look at your owners manual. It has a black V6/formula on the cover. Tell me that **** doesn't look hot?

Yes, to stick with the post, stock for stock vs each other (color wouldn't make a difference by the way ) and all 3 lined up (being) an LT1 Formula, LT1 Z28 & an LT1 Trans Am (all autos or all manuals) (NO WS6, Firehawks or SS's) you'd have a fair race/even race, or back to back consistent 1/4 ETs between all 3.

All a matter of choice as to what you like.

yup were going purely on cosmetics. You could even say they weighed the same if you wanted.

Definately Formula, but I'm biased too. Before I bought my car, i wanted something to be unique. My WS6 formula was next on my list to a firehawk, but couldn't find one.

no baised but I choose Z28 because the other options tend to be heavier or more loaded out.

Formy for me. I just like the cleaner lines compared to the T/A. I just don't like the front bumper design on the T/A. The Z28 has clean lines too, mean lines with the SS package.

Stock the TA looks good, the stock 16s hurt the way the Z28s and Formulas look, get sme wheel any of the 3, lower them and they look ssick.

Black LT1 WS6 six speed FORMULA.....there is one in Thunders shop with Fikse FM5's with 315's on the back..boy I get wood everytime I look at the picture I have of it.....a bad *** ride no doubt. I have a 94 Z28..but looked all over for a Ram Air Formula and couldnt get one at the time. So I bought the Z. All the poll cars have the same contents, just in a different wrapper.

man its a close race with the z28 in front! yea they are all the same car with different wrapping basically. but honestly stock for stock which would win? I heard the t/a was heavier than the formy because of the wing, and not sure about the z28 seems it might weight just as much as the formy. anybody know for certain?

I have to say the Formula. Ready for the drag strip. LT1, six speed, AC-delete, no trim, no rear floor mats, manual windows, manual locks, and no high speed tires. That's how I orderred mine in 1995. I still have it. 186 miles on the clock. I have to say that I like the 1998 front end better. That's why I changed mine in 1998. Best car I have ever owned.
