Cam gears Q??
I was thinking of replacing the timing chain with a new one and that about it but a friend told me that i need to change them to after market one's.
so what do i do?
I could be wrong here but I thought the 94-f-body with it's non-vented opti got a different cam nose than the vented opti and the HOT was made for vented? Hopefully someone else can comment on this.
Since you have a 94, you will also need to shorten the dowl pin on your hot cam for a non-vented opti style. I would reccommend changing to timing chain set with an oem one since you are there doing the work. If you want to use the LT4 set, you would have to convert to the vented style opti, which requires you the change the timing cover, new opti (vented), search for a write up on it.
