Default air box differences in 93 and 94ss?

Have a friend that wants to know what the difference is on the air box for his 93 ss than a 94ss. Had his car in the shop having a 383 built for half a year and the shop went belly up. Needless to say they took parts off his car and got away with it . But anyways getting off the topic there. He got a replacement hood and air box from summit and they told him that the air box was different from 93 to 94. they told him he would have to modify it. any clue to what it would need modifying.

any info greatly appreciated.

thanks.

93's do not have a mass air flow sensor..... they're speed density.... it might be because of that......

are these f-bodies? if so there are no 93 or 94 SSs. but only thing i can think of is the fact that 93 intake manifolds are different and maybe the airbox sits different or something.

Bolt on car it isnt really worth the money, we had the BBK on a 383 car, worked well, but the gains dont justify how much you have to spend, the Holley is a nice peace as well. Tell him to search CZ28.com, you can get a lot of feed back.

Not sure on a 93 or 94, but think if they are like say a 97, stock would be 48mm.

My BBK 58mm TB is a sand cast piece of crap ugly looking thing.

The Holley TB is billet and pimp.

If I were to do it all over again, I'd get one of the billet ones. (I think AS&M and others have them as well).
