hey guys. I need some help finding the best datalogging software for OBD2 LT1 f-bodies. What are you guys using? Anyone have any advice as far as the pros and cons of any particular software? I haven't really researched any yet in depth, and I figured I'd start here. I've had the tunercats software since christmas and I've been waiting for the MXScan software to come out so I can just use the tunercats cable for flashing AND datalogging. MXScan looks like an awesome product, but it is taking forever to be released and I need something now. Most important to me is full compatibility with all PIDS (i hear autotap doesn't read knock on LT1s?) and good sampling rate. So what's out there for this application and what do y'all recommend?

I use AutoTap DOS. It's been a while, I can go back and check my logs, but I think it does log knock. I know it does all the PIDs. It's not very fast though.
I tried AutoTap Windows, and went back to DOS.![Winky](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_wink.gif)
There's always Alex Peper's CarCode (at http://www.obd-2.com ). He has a 96-97 PID definition file, but I'm not sure how complete it is.

Yeah, OBD2 is what I need. Thanks for the comments camaroholic. Anyone else use autotap? Just how bad is the sample rate? Also, does anyone out there have experience with CarCode? Thanks guys.

Sample rate for me was 2-3 samples / second. Yeah, pretty bad. But this was a long time ago, on an old laptop. I haven't worked on an OBDII LT1 in quite a while. Maybe the AutoTap windows software has improved, I don't know. I kinda dropped doing stuff on my LT1 car in favor of the LS1 car. Now I'm swinging back the other direction (building up the 383 for my LT1). I was running OBDII in my 94Z for a while...

yeah.....I also forgot to mention that I need wideband support. I didn't read on either of the 2 software packages that they have wideband support or are capable of logging auxillary inputs. What's the word on this? I imagine that the cables would have to have auxillary input locations for this right? I didn't see any....
