can i go to big?(injectors)
can i go to big?(injectors) the stock ones were not going to cut it so while i was looking for some new injectors i came across a good deal on some #42's. will these be over kill? my setup is not extreme, just a cc305, 1.6 rr, headers w/ full exhaust, cai, and just about every other bolt on with a 6a box. if they are to much, is it something that can be fixed with a tune? i plan to have it dyno tuned. just worried that it will always be rich no matter what.

For a CC 305 stock 24# would be fine. If you dont believe me research this very subject throughout several forums.
That cam isnt that big.
I have friends running 10's with 24# and 30#'s on stroked engines. And there duty cycles are not saturated, but around 85-90%.

yeah i know its not a big cam. i will eventually go alot bigger, but i'm on a budget right now and i basicly got this cam for free. but thanks, what i needed to know. i was just worried about them being so big it would make it impossible to run right because of being so rich.

42lb injectors at 6 psi of boost in my opinion is overkill. The only way I would go 42's is if your planning on increasing boost. You can get them to run but the tune has gotta be dead on. I ran that size injector with 8lbs of boost and even with a good tune start up was a PITA. 36lb would have been perfect.

i haven't looked to see if there was a cheap alternative.. like 36# for $200-250...
