oooocuch!!! well i'm embarassed to say that i got my *** handed to me tonight by an SRT-4....super nasty!!! i got a 95 camaro z..in case yall were wondering, but dat lil car jus got up an left me in the dust.
Sorry to hear that. Well that shows you that he had a **** load of money in that little car. A guy I know here has a Civic with some Acura motor, coil overs for suspension, and a dryer tube for a CAI. He says it will smoke my Z.... 
He won't race though, I just have a little Camaro. lol

It just goes to show us we never really know what we're getting into, I have a body back in Duluth,mn. running 457 at the wheels with 94 integra and theres a guy in the twin cities that is putting close to 500 down in his civic hatch. and the sick part is they both look stock from the outside! Not that i'm a fan of the rice, but you really never know what your getting into anymore with these imports.
he couldnt have been stock i killed my friends from a stop and kept about a car on him from about a 40 roll ... and i didnt have any of the mods listed yet other than supsension and clutch and gears and CAI

my friends ACR or whatever SRT-4 ran right with my car to the end of the quarter. My car is stock as stock is. lol... 4000 mile on motor and it even came with a friendly SES light.. haha...
Still good for a four banger... Those il hair dryers are good eveners for the smaller motors. But i'll come back out with a snail on my v8 and the poor lil 4 bangers are fucked

Well i saw one today in fact my mods are in my sig i knew he had a Blow off valve i heard it and a boost controller cause i saw it on the dash.After i killed him from a 20 mph roll i stayed next to him as he played with his controller and we went from a 60 mph roll to 140 and still left him i was out by 8 cars poor feller had his girl in the car too.

Yeah some guys like that ricey **** and some get kinda crazy with that stuff. I always saw this one guy around UK's campus with a Mitsubishi Lancer of all things. It was the biggest piece of rice I had ever seen. Carbon fiber hood, the wheels, the racing seats, color matched interior trim, you know the whole 9 yards. But you could see the piping through the hood and you could tell there was something insane under there. I heard him driving it one day and all I could think was "That's a big motherfuckin turbo." One of my friends said it was in some magazine. They don't weigh much so it's easy for them to roll with a little HP.

We just had a dyno day this past weekend and a slightly modded SRT4 put down close to 300 fwhp. Any turbo car is pretty easy to tweak up the power. How long will it really last before kaboom happens though!

friend of mine has a lil skittle(srt-4) w/ intake,boost controller, and a shifter and it makes decent power. from a dig u mise well not even keep track of how far, but its quick from a roll.

Wow, the ignorance is ASTOUNDING in this thread.
Stock for stock, an SRT4 will keep up with a LT1 f body. Mod for mod it's still pretty damn close. SRT4's generally put down to the wheels 230whp and 250wtq from the factory. Add a way to control boost and it'll gain easily 15-20whp and 40-50wtq. If they werent FWD they would be kickass little cars.

ok tell that to my friend that i raced... when we raced i didnt have any of the mods in my sig other than it was lowered, CAI, and the gears and it wasnt even close from a stop... from a roll i kept about a car on him
but then agian i was running 13.9s at 101mph with a auto with a convertor that was going on out cause it grenaded on me a month later after the run... it was a M6 when we raced and no competition off the line, it was a little better from a roll though, not hatin on the car i know theres some fast ones but it didnt keep up with me stock

Yeah off the line its a drivers race. These cars are hard to launch thanks to the massive wheelhop you get in 1st gear, and sometimes second gear (see sig for my wonderful 60' time. I got it down to a high 2.2 later in the night, but missed 4th gear and ran a 14.3@87mph). And stock means stock, a LT1 with CAI and gears isnt stock, and is going to run faster than a stock one. There are a couple locals with just the spring mod running 13.6@102, around the same times for ones that are stock with stage 1. Every car and every driver are different, but for everyone to call them crap is just ignorant.
The motors will handle over 500whp on the stock longblock, fastest car on the stock tiny *** turbo is i think a 12.0@116, fastest SRT4 in the nation is a 10.9@1xx right now. Not too bad for a FWD 4 cyl that was introduced 3 years ago.

I raced by buddies srt-4 from a 40 roll about a year ago, and he was pretty much stock and he pulled a car or 2. But we went from a stop and I put about 3-4 cars on him. FWD cars suck from a stop if they can't hook, but are plenty fast from a roll. If you raced him from a stop, I bet you would win.
