Default cutout before or after cut, wuts urs

ok guys im gettin a cut out and im leanin towards puttin it before the cat, wut have yall done? which one is better, im mainly doing it jsut for noise to turn heads lol

i have a gutted cat so its straight through and when you disconnect the exhaust just after the y its sounds mean..but does that hurt anything at all driving it like that

I have mine after the cat right before the i pipe goes over the axel. For performance purposes I heard that it is best to have it ~30 inches from the y pipe. Also before the cat would be loud and mine is really loud as is right now.

if you have emissions it has to be after the cat. Otherwise throw it in before!

i think what you are thinking of is when you run open shorty headers, and you turn your car off, the cool air could get to the valves quicker and mess them up, but a cut out shouldnt have that affect.
