Autozone may be the cheapest, but they are worthless. I just got done replacing a bad opti with an autozone part and it was shot within 5 miles. Spents another week troubleshooting the problem back to a bad optispark that we just put in. Bought a Summit optispark which is a GM part for $289. It works now

The only time I buy stuff from autozone is when I need something like wax, soap or filters or motor fluids. I think there parts are junk.

You can find some on ebay is decent shape. some new some used. Never go to autozone, the prices are cheaper for a reason... Napa sells quality parts, but what I bought a used one on ebay, costs around 100 bucks for a good one.

Sam Taylor Buick/Cadillac... Speak with Jason Cromer
Best shipped price you will find on a new GM opti... Dont buy the aftermarket junk from Autozone, Advance, etc. Do it right, do it once, get GM parts

I have one listed below on 93 opti. Unlike some people I can't always buy new. I guess you can always get burnt but if you shoot people straight the buyer and seller will be happy. Big Daddy Don Garletts said one time he had rather have a tested part as a new one.lol I wish I had big pockets full of Money.

I have a good used one from a 96 f-body with about 38k miles on it.
Also I would not use the gm rotor even if you buy a new dist!! We have had 3 come off now and caused big problems. Buy an msd cap and rotor!! much better design!!

got one from autozone two years ago, and it just sat on my old motor for a year and a half. Finally decided to sell it to a buddy and it works like a charm...no problems with that. So to me Autozone is just as good as the best. It works and no problems.

I just bought a brand new early style acdelco opti for 295 plus shipping. The ebay prices have droped about 60-70dallars in the past month.

Autozone only sells the cap and rotor kit for the opti now. Advance sells a new AC Delco opti but it runs $360. Summitt has the best price so far that I have seen.

just looked through my receipts and found I paid the exact same

The only thing wrong with the GM rotors is the way the metal is held to the plastic base, and the screws that hold the assembly to the base.

I garantee that if you pull a new opti apart, unscrew the rotor assembly, and loctite the screw threads you wont have a problem there. Some even go as far as supergluing bottom of the screw heads before bottoming the screws out.

Then the only thing that could go wrong with your gm rotor is the metal part on top. Its only held on by some melted plastic, so a nice hot ignition current will eventually make the plastic let go of the metal.
