can't you just make your own switch? i did it on my bird, sure it's a v6 but i'm almost certain the wiring is the same... if you want the 'walkthrough'/writeup how to do it yourself, let me know. it would cost you maybe 10bucks and 20mins of your time

I think the word "ghetto" is used way to frequently to describe what it shouldnt but I do get your point and I do agree.

Just a thought but I think having a switch in the end may be well worth it. I remember when my temp switch went out and it was such a pain. Having a switch can be used not only when at the track but for emergency purpuses like a shot relay on the way home or bad temp switch. Couple that with a electric waterpump that turns on with the acc at the track...

Oh, forgot to mention also that the Casper version seems to be better than the slp version and cheaper to boot. Caspers is a awesome business.

I had this problem.

Trouble-shooting, I found the fans would work, the fuse was not blown, but my fans would not come on. The water temp would not cool down. It didn't make any sense.

I'll tell you why mine had stopped working. The jack that the 10 amp mini fuse is plugged into does not make good contact. Solder some thickening on the fuses's contact points, then insert it into the fuse box's jack. This will ensure a good connection.

It's a crazy defect, and at first it was intermittent.

I used the info on shoebox's site and did my own, less than $10 for the whole thing and it only took about 15-20 mins.

isnt there a sensor made by jet or hypertech a thermostatic switch that u can use to alter the fan turn on? Does these actually work? Its suppose to replace the sensor on the water pump.
