Default header question!

Will a set of shortie headers off of a 93-94 car work on my 97? Please let me know asap!

They should, can't see why they wont. As long as they have the O2 Sensor Bungs, and the EGR and AIR Connections if you still have that, then you should be good.

Can you explain where the EGR connection would be?

if you have a stock y-pipe they will not work, the mounting flange on the driver side will not match up.

Can someone explain to me why when you go to retail sites that they sell headers by differnt years. Example would be that they sell a set for 93-94 then a set for 95-97. Whats the difference? Are they not at universal?

Nope they arent universal, first the 93-94 have a single cat, the 95-97 have dual cats. look
93-94 headers(from SLP)

95-97 headers(from SLP)

See the difference.... its in the mounting flanges.

I see I see....Thank you very much. I would have been pissed if I had purchased these and had them not fit.

To be exact, 1993-95 have single cat. 1996 and up have dual cats, OBDII Computer. The EGR Mount is on the right header, faces toward the engine. The little pieces in the pic of the headers that come off of the top are for the AIR System check valves.
IF you are keeping the cats, then they would be different. I am getting Long Tubes with a Y Pipe fit to them, so my Exhaust is custom. No AIR or EGR.
