My old 96 went 13.92 at 101.02 bone stock 73,000 miles.
I want to get the 94 out there. Bone stock, Almost a 1LE, No AC, No power options, not even a hatch release. It is an a4 with 2.73's. If I hit it hard tomorrow night it may see the track saturday. Still working on the opti.

I was hitting 14.4's bone stock with a crapped out opti.

My best to date is 13.57 bouncing off the speed limiter before the quarter. That is with a muffler(stock catback), gutted cat, 3.73 gears, and K&N CAI.

I see 13.7's consistantly.

1.6 60 foots are impossible on street tires. The best i've personally seen on a street tire is 1.97, but friends have hit high 1.8s.

That's with intake, no cats, RamHD clutch, SLP short throw w/ Lou's short stick, and bullet muffler dumped. Car has 168,000 miles on it and the temperture was 95 degrees. I guess one day I'll see the 13's.
97 is a normal trap speed for stock. Work on your launch and you can probably lower the ET a little. 2.3 is not a great 60' even for street tires.

I ran a 14.1 @ 100.6 with a 2.27 60' bone stock. M6 is a bitch to launch. I am happy with the trap speed though.

is the 96 camaro ss motor better than a regular lt1? because i have a 94 trans am with a 97 camaro ss motor, 373 gears, 315 tires in the rear, electric water pump, underdrive pulley, msd ignition, pacesetter LTs, and K&N intake, and its an M6. wut do u think i can run in the 1/4 ?

impossible in a 4th gen mabey, my slow as **** IROC (first car) would do a 1.73 60' (when the posi would work) on the way to a 14.9x 305 BABY!!!!!!!! stock tranny and rear end.

i think there are too many internet drag racers in this thread.... 1.6x in a stock fbody w/ stock tires is impossible... I understand that some tracks prep better than others but when i know ppl that launch at 4k and deadhook and only pull low low 1.7x's then i can assume guy pulling 1.6x is BSing. BTW i have seen a 13.7 totally stock at OSW which means it would have run atleast a 13.5 at a good track.

oh, fwiw here's my times from a few nights ago. This was done in a heavy (30+ mph) headwind, on an uphill track, with my subbox in the back, high humidity, granny shifting on a shitty clutch. My best was 14.3@98.9 2.3 60 foot on my kumhos. Everyone was running really slow. That was with a muffler and a CAI. It's an easy 13 second car if I can get my *** to launch it right

My old car (94 T/A) with just a muffler went 13.9@100.5 on a 2.2 60 foot. She was an auto, 3.23. Better track with way better conditions and no subs.

Not to burst anyone's bubble but I do not believe for 1 second that a "stock" LT1 car trapped at 107 mph "bone stock". That is what LS1 cars run stock, some even higher. Not bashing at all as I am a GM guy (Almost sold my car for an 03 Cobra though ) but that is pretty far fetched for an LT1 car with no mods to trap that high. The norm I see is 98-102 with 99-101 being the norm with a good driver. I dont know call me crazy.

i got a 13.8 @ 99 or 100 out of my ss when it was stock.

a good frind of mine had a 94 or 95 z vert automatic and he ran a 13.7 @ 100 bone stock. i even crawled all over the car after he ran it to see if there was anything done to it. there was no free mods, lcas, k&n, nothing. he made 4 passes with it and all were under 13.9

Just because YOU cant do it, or have never SEEN it done....doesnt mean it cant BE done, I have cut MANY high 1.70's on regular street tires in a stick car.....it IS possible.
