Default Valvespring question

does anyone know the max lift for the valvesprings that come with the LT4 hotcam kit? i know that the rockers that come with kit are rated at a max lift of .575". are the springs the same?

not to hijack your thread, but if they're good up to .540 lift, then that means my lt4 heads with the lt4 kit springs should hold up to a cc306 and a 847? i already have 1.6rr's

There is a lot more to what a spring can handle than what lift it is safe too before bind.

The LT4 springs are marginal for the HOT cams .525 lift and mild lobes running it on a smaller cam with more aggressive lobes would be a lesson in what valve float feels/sounds like much less trying to put them on a bigger cam.

I agree but .540" is the safest lift in the approximate HOT cam style cam before getting too close to coil bind.

I checked this out a long time ago.

Any suggestions for valve springs for a 95 LT1 383 with a Lingenfelter Mechanical Roller with Crane Gold Race Rockers 1.6 total valve lift .596
