I custom made a CAI for mine, it works real good. Alot better than paying $150+ for some of the stuff out there.

if u want unique looks, get the SLP dual pipe (I don't know what its called), but you are better off getting the moroso or K&N, they are made out of plastic, they will last long and they are of really good quality.

I can vouch for the Moroso. It looks good and it gets the job done!

From all the info Ive gathered, I believe the LS1 lid style intake is the best performing. I would do that. As for being unique you dont see many LT1s with Lids and it will throw everyone for a loop when they open the hood and if you get a clear one, just DAMN. or maybe you could have one painted maybe flamed or something.

As far as I know you just get a LS1 radiator shroud and lid. I think it clears all OEM hoods but the stock TA one. I wouldn't quote me on that. Just do a search on it, there was a thread about this not but like a week ago.

I also have ram-air induction. I love the way the hood looks, and the sound is amazing. Currently, the intake is louder than my exhaust at WOT. I definately noticed a power gain, but I adjusted the valves at the same time.

Its an expensive setup though. I practically stole mine, $450 for the SLP ram-air box and an American Sports Car hood. Still had to get it painted though.

i got my black powder coated lt1 slp intake off ebay for $1 plus shipping ( he misspelled it and i was the only one that found it ). I traded it for a chrome SLP intake and bought new filters for around $40. So you know have to ghetto rid a cai to get one cheap. Check the boards and misspelling on ebay.

I ran a few different setups on my 93

While this one was pretty bulky and did not have the best ram air effect - it was definitely the most unique (and did keep the AITs down) - was cheap to build too:
