according to your sig you have an LT1. If you have an LS1 then your post will be worthwhile, if not, you just read my post wrong. I don't know of any 3.23 optioned LS1s that came with a steel driveshaft stock. if you mean something else the only option i mentioned was the gears so it was unclear.

Another reason people go with the carbon fiber shaft is because the shaft will actually flex or twist under hard launches. This helps to soften the blow to your rear end.
