bad stumble/surging between 5 and 6k

hi, I'm getting a bad stumble/surge between 5 and 6k RPMs. It only happens in that window. I was wondering if anyone had a similar problem, or any ideas to steer me in the right direction.

THe car has 130k on it. It has new plugs and wires, and air filter. THe opti however is stock and hasn't given me any problems so far, though that's a possible cause that came to mind. That or maybe a weak fuel pump

any ideas would help, thanks

yah, that definitely sounds like an opti issue... if it's anything like what happened to me, it's only going to get worse...

I would like to know the fuel psi at that rpm first before gang raping the opti even though in the end it's always the opti lol.

I have the same exact problem.I just bought the car a couple of months ago and noticed it has the stock factory wires on it with 114k. I'm hoping to change the plugs and wire tomorrow night.

Buy an opti and replace now before you are stalled in the middle of a busy intersection and screwed. Also dont get an autozone opti, order from summit or jegs.
