Default Best mini starter for $200 or under?

I posted this in the sbc/bbc forum too, but i figured since it was lt1 related i would ask you lt1 owners also. After my gen 1/t56 swap, this lt1 starter just isnt cutting it. I was looking through jegs but there are just so many different brands and i dont really know which starter brands are better than others. The motor is a 383 and has about 10.75:1 compression. Which would be the best for 200 bucks or less? Thanks.

I would look at the Summit-branded starters. Usually Summit just strikes a deal with one of its suppliers for the same product at a better price. Example - I bought a Summit line lock and it is the EXACT kit that my friend paid $80 more for under the brand name - Hurst Roll Control.

I think you can get a good one between $139-$179.

Why not use the ones on the LT1 Vettes. IIRC they're not the same ones as the F-body unit or the B-body unit. You can get them from Autozone (lifetime warranty) for $160 (plus core). They're smaller, lighter weight, and I do recall them being higher output
