I must admit it does look sexy. Going to take alot to prove to me it's better than my Dynotech.

my mouth just watered a little when I saw the picture, what else do you have to run to use that MSD opti, thats the pro billet version right? I noticed the connector is different for the cam position sensor, how did you hook it up?

Between the holy grail and the msd opti, I was putting money on seeing the holy grail before the opti

A factory unvented one may be, but a vented version is a whole lot better. While the rotor may not like high RPMS, when you maintain an opti as you are supposed to do with a traditional cap and rotor distributor they last a long time. Believe me it's nothing compared to a coil pack setup, but they do work.

Now Ponyhntr, I hope they provided you with a new vacuum harness or at least say you should change your old one out for a new one. Believe me for $20 it's cheap insurance to ensure you're not going to **** up a $500 product

My stock opti currently has 87,xxx miles on it and it has experienced a failed water pump. The mech that replaced it recomended that I replace the opti at the same time. I declined because I didn't have the money at the time. Glad I did cause 2 years later it's still running strong. I don't know, maybe I was just lucky.
