Default Holley Stealth Ram on an LT?

I'm ordering one of these today. Though I am ordering the unpolished version since it's only $350 vs $750 for the polished version. It's set up for the 87-up heads. I am going to have the coolant ports in the front welded shut and slap a block off on the thermostat hole. They even use an LT1 throttle body. Has anyone ran one on an LT? Or have experience with one....Should be here day after tomorrow

if its going into your s10 it should fit, but if its going into an fbody there is going to need to be some modification cuz thats alot bigger than the stock intake.. but people make things work like this all the time i dont see why you cant make it work... good luck... i want to see some pics when its done...

Yeah it's for my baby so hood clearance isn't an issue.

I was just curious as if anyones ran one and what kind of difference power wise did it make and how well they do high up on the tach. It says they are good for 6,000 to 6,500 depending which vendor you look at. I am considering having it ported some too to help even further.

I guess I should have added that the rails and throttle body are extra. Though I will be ordering those with my next check.

you probably wont notice any power difference. I used to have a 91 350 TPI and i swapped it to the HSR and all it did was move my power band up. Not really to much faster. It drove just like an LT1, cause you change the runner size from the stock 18" runner on the TPI to like a 5", only about one more inch than the LT1. Correct me if those numbers aren't completely correct but i know this for a fact cause i have owned both cars and the HSR did nothing but change my power band alittle, added maybe a tenth. your power band will be exactly the same, but who knows LT1 heads might do the trick as opposed to the L98 heads

hmmm..they look like the 87-up heads bolt pattern wise, I don't have a set here to compare. though that isn't a major concern and can be done when it's getting ported and welded on.

At the least it will be different!

i hope it works out for you, the truck is going to scream. i recommend zq8 wheels, i think they look clean as hell, plus keep it close to stock appearance for the sleeper effect. What intake is on the motor now, painted lt1? any port work done to it? If you're looking to sell it i might be interested.

$350 for the conversion... maching the intake down, welding it up, milling the intake flanges and changing the bolt pattern.

Then if the 87-up style bolt locations are so different. How are guys getting away with putting other intakes such as victor jr's on their LT's? Or are they having theirs machined too?
