Uploading a tune

When you upload a new tune does it have the same effect as disconnecting the battery? What I mean is does it have to re-learn etc?

I thought so, explains alot. How many hours of operation does it usually take for the computer to re-learn?

depends on the set up. if radical it might take several restarts and miles to learn it all back. if not that radical then some restarts and miles should settle it out.

Gotcha, thanks. I'm not sure if my setup would be considered radical but I do Know I hate having to start from scratch because it seems to take my car forever to re learn and I seem to get the most knock during this period.

Then I would think you have other issues other than just relearn.
I have seen some pretty radical stuff and it idle just fine from the get go or after a few miles.
