the best thing for getting the pulley off is a three-jaw puller. I don't know of any other way of removing it, simple hand tools just won't do it since it's press-fit. You'll need a harmonic balancer puler with a long 1/4" drive extension to remove the piece behind the crank.

Yeah, I have the pulley for the harmonic balance, I don't need to take that off and I can get a 3 jaw puller from a friend. but I just can't get the bolts lose, and I am scare to turn the crank with out the rocker arms righten down.
so take off the three bolts and then use the puller right??

I got mine off with just a rachet and screwdriver.... i first coated the crank pully with wd-40.... i then shoved a screwdriver thru the crank pully and wedged it under the block... put the rachet on, and put a breaker bar on the handle of the rachet... they broke loose with no problem... then i just wiggled the pully off

That wont be a problem, the springs are holding all the valves in the closed position. Also, using a 3-jaw puller will damage the rubber band on that damper. A fey taps with a hammer and wigle it, it should come off when the 3 bolts are removed.

I bought a std. harmonic balancer puller and it worked great. Knocked the pulley off with a rubber mallet and used the puller for the hub. Now I have a Fluidampr and it's all one piece but the puller still works for it.

With the harmonic balancer puller you can pull off the pulley with the smallest bolts that it comes with. You know the three threaded holes on the inside of the pulley that stick out in a kinda triangle shape, use those holes with the small bolts and the thing comes right off even with a large amount of rust.
