Default Cam Qustion?

Will the comp cams 07-306-8 xtreme energy cam fit in my stock lt1 motor? will there be any piston valve issues??? Here are the specs:

HYDRAULIC ROLLER-For use with LT1, with Hyd. Hyd. 1800 to 5800 07-306-8 290HR-12 290 307 230 244 .510 .540 112°
modified computer programming, intake
plenum, runners and 2200+ stall.

If this cam will fit okay what springs?, roller rockers should I go with also?

Thats a CC306, do a search for it on CZ28.com. you can run it in a stock motor, that cam likes heads, wont run as good as it should on a stock headed car. Back in the day that was probably the only cam people used to hit 400rwhp was really opoular. No piston valve clearnace issues, lot of different springs, go with a 1.6 rocker. That cam sounds great but on a stock headed car theres better cams out there, even for a car with heads, newer cams out that make better power. That cam is from the late 90s, easy to get tunes for but theres new stuff out there.

There is new stuff out there but I will tell you it worked perfectly fine with my stock headed Z and I made some very nice power. Never dynoed it again after the install but was able to pull a 13.143 @ 109 mph with a crappy 2.2 60'. That was with a CC306, FLP longtubes, Borlas, and stock 2.73 gears. I forget who I got the tune from but it was an unlimited # of email tunes. The car even sat well at idle. The power was there and the next mods were going to be a stall and 3.73s which would have probably netted me low 12s with traction. I think the change of gears and stall would also bump the mph and could have probably got 113 or so out of her.

Everyone on CZ28.com would always tell me it wouldn't run well on stock heads but it ran great. xxxsaintxxx was another guy with an M6 and CC306 running 115+ on stock heads. My s/n on there is 95_RipperZ
