neither--get a few mods under the hood and get a tune from PCMforLess or a few others that are out there. Their tunes are far more taylored to your mods than Hypertech which might gain you 15 hp max...just isn't worth the money.

I second that. I would get a custom tune. You gain alot more. I also recommend PCMforless.

www.PCMforless.com They will custom program you PCM for you. Alvin does the chip programming and Bryan does the PCM flashing. You will have to pull your PCM and send it to them to flash with the new program. Or if you have a 93 with a removable chip, they will just send you a new chip. A custom tune is always the way to go. Check out there site, they have done some very impressive work. They have excellent customer support also.

Buy the data cable for 94-97 and you can have them send you new tunes in e-mail...I think for less than $50 you can get unlimited retunes through e-mail. The cable is around $80, but well worth it because from then on you can scan for error codes with it.

I had a hypertech programmer for my '95 T/A. Biggest POS ever. It added a little power with basic bolts ons, but once things got more serious...well, it cant accomadate for that and renders it worthless. The only way to maximize power for the mods on the car is to get a custom tune.

I had the hypertech and was at the track reprogramming it and my car wouldn't start. I had to reset the PCM to get back up running. Such a POS. The PCM4less programming worked great for me. I think I still have the cable sitting around for an OBD1. If you are interested, PM me and I'll give it to you for $50 shipped. Almost half price.
