My question would be WHY. Most people are far too quick to ASSume they need to rebuild a perfectly good engine. Modern engines exhibit nowhere near the wear old carbed stuff did and the stock shortblock is very well put together.

well im lookin at a 96 t/a 130,000 miles it runs good tho i want to buy it but i want to know how much it would be to rebuild it

so if the bottom ends hold up for a long time, what's the highest mileage you'd go on a cam install?

you wont need a rebuild for your engine, the materials used can probably outlast your life....you have to worry if it was taken care of properly, transmission, electronics, not your engine

i have 183k on mine and still going... i want to do a cam change for ***** and giggles just to see if it would hold up... haha..

I have 139K miles on my TA and I have no problems with it, except the AC went out earlier this year, but I am still modding it and dont plan to stop until its eating oil and puking smoke

geesh w/ that mileage just putting in another STOCK cam will net u some good power difference.... that baby is prolly worn around now.. and if u have not changed timing chain now would be a good time along w/ the cam! dooooo it!!!
