This is coming for a m6 driver whos owned by a4 and m6. M6 IF launched right will ake the A4 down.. but from a dig that A4 will hound MOST m6's.

I still say 8.20's. Stop screwing up this thread.
there is a reason everyone who is SERIOUS about their drag racing runs a auto... and it aint to spite retards like you

An auto will shift the same way every time and there is less gears. You have to shift with a manual. Every shift will takea different abount of time to complete and you have to shift more than twice. There is a millions time more of a chance for inconsistantcy.

FACT!.. you just made yourself look like a arrogant idiot in front of millions of people who know what they are talking about.

What kind of tranmission do Pro Stock racers run? What kind of serious racers are you speaking of?

Or how about some not so serious racers, say, with power levels like most on here run....Hmm, like the bolt LT1 car that went 11.80. I'm pretty sure even that was with a 6 speed, and that it went 11's with a stock clutch.

I can sit and run 10 times in a row and every run be within half a tenth. You guys can't do it (obviously), so apparently it cant be done.

FACT: It can be done. It has been done. Its definately more difficult to do, but that certainly doesnt mean that it cant be done. I rev it up, dump the clutch and shift. And yes, I am pretty damned consistant, a lot more than others are. Practice, practice, practice people. Eventually you can become pretty good at it and lean back and laugh at others that sit around hounding message boards saying it cant be done (That would be you guys).

I predict 8.20's. If you dont have any kind of prediction like the author of this thread wanted in the first place, dont chime in. If you still want to give him your worthless .02, take it to PM's.

First off just becuase you nut swing Shon's car and it went quick with a manual trans (I do belive you are wrong and that wasn't a stock clutch) and you say you are consistant with a manual tranmission has NOTHING to do with what your first post or what we have been posting in this thread.

You will always be more consistant with an automatic transmission. Bottom line end of story. Nobody said you can't be consistant with a manual transmission. Might want to look into reading comprehension
... it owns you. You should: A.) get off your high horse B.) calm the nutwswinging down C.) become a moderator if you want to tell us what we can and can not do while posting.

Is it considered nut swinging if you work on/drive the car? You're a tool dude, that was me driving Shon's car. I know what was in it, I know that we cut a 1.53 60 foot on a stock clutch. You keep posting how Imports Suck is going to slow down or cant be as consistant with a t-56 in there, when in fact he most certainly can be quicker and just as consistant with a t-56. All you've been good for in this thread are some shitty smart *** remarks and negativity.

Obviously going from an automatic trans to a manual car you are going to be slower and a ton less consistant until you get some seat time. It doesn't take rocket science to figure that one out. Either way you are wrong and a manual transmission will never be MORE consistant then an automatic transmission. All you've been good for in this thread are some shitty logic and lots of humor.

Shon's car has nothing to do with this thread. The nutswinging lives on.

is that why the worlds fastest bolt on LT1 is a 6 speed?

it takes a lot more money to build a 4L60E and get a nice 500+ dollar converter to get the job done, and you still wont have the fun factor of a 6 speed. i see many 300rwhp 6 speed cars with suspension and rear ends that can put the power to the pavement running 1.6s and daily driving. thats getting off the line good enough for me.

Might want to try reading that whole post in context toolbert. Nobody here is saying that manual transmissions are worthless. All we have been saying is nobody will know what you will run in that car given the fact that your previous time was an automatic and now your jumping into a manual especially considering all the other factors that affect ET. The other tool is trying to act like manuals are more consistant then automatics which is totally wrong.

OK after deleting most of the bull out of this thread so it doesn't have to be locked here's the bottom line.

auto= easier to be more consistant. will most likely run "quicker" with right stall but will trap lower mph wise. easier to launch

m6= basically the opposite. If you are doing roll races the faster you are going the more the six speed car will win by.

I have a 6 speed in my car with a mcleod street twin and 9 inch its not hard to be consistant in a 6 spee when u find out what psi tires need to be at with which temps on track. As well as rpm you dump the clutch at. If I wanted a high 9 second car I would put an auto in it and gotten the spool instead of the posi, but for the amount I go to the track and how much i like to drive on the street and race high hp cars on the highway I keep my 6 speed even if I go .3-.6 sec slower in the 1/4. Its all what you like. If its a track queen though there is no point for a 6 speed
