Default Simple 18 degree head question

Some fully ported 21x name brand heads converted for LT1 with whatever great flowing FI intake and a 383 12.x c/r hyd roller what type of power would it make? This would also have all the average bolt ons etc.

Well if you use the 18X heads you might as well use 21 degree heads as they pinch the port to much

I am going to say 305-700

The offset rockers are going to make the use of the hyd lifters hard to do. Your going to want to go to a offset solid roller lifter.

When would one benifit from a single plane intake? I want to get one but I'm unsure if it would be worth it if I dont plan on reving past 7000

That's what I thought. I was thinking of going solid roller with a single plane while using the stock computer and my Dynaspark but the more I think of it the more it would seem as though I would lose alot of power down low and never be able to take advantage of the power up top.

Part of your issue is the tuning over in Bahrain to try and pull this off.

Good point. Would I have to go with a aftermarket PCm/piggy back? If that's the case I'm going to drop the idea right now.

I want mid to high 400's N/A. I dont care what looks cool under the hood as long as it makes it go fast.

a 396 with a solid roller and a single plane should get you to that goal if setup right. i would use some nice afr's or sbc converted heads. i havnt looked much at the other newer heads for the lt1 so im not commenting on them as i dont have enought info to say either way.

you couuld get in that range with an ltx intake and hyd cam also

No way. stock ci motors with H/C Ive seen may hit the mid 300's but Ive never seen any in the 4's. Everyone tells me with this current setup I should allready be in the mid 400 range. I guees we will see if I can ever get it to the dyno.

They don't hit 400rwhp? Both LE and Ai do that.
