hey man where the heck is your alternator????

I was looking at the pics and it looks like you used a dummy pulley where the alt was right???? I guess you kept your power steering so you still needed to use the bracket???? But where's the alternator? Low mount madman setup???

It's a SpeedSpecialty alt relocation brkt which relocates it where the old air/smog pumps we all remove were located (drivers side), this brkt allows you to keep your PS & AC. I have a new compressor and all my lines polished, the AC delete pulley was free & just wanted to make a pass @the track without it for the hell of it.

cool.... i ditched the power steering (madman manual rack), and i'm going to run the madman low mount alt kit so I can ditch the giant bracket on the pass side.... I Might have to figure out how in the belt routing i can run a vacuum pump tho..... So I'll only have a belt going to the alt, vacuum pump, and the balancer....

Been looking at some vacuum pump options myself, you'll have to shoot me some info on your setup, I have very little to go by at this time, other than a local LS1 (cam only) picked up around 13rwhp with a custom vacuum pump setup they did.

I'm using the Cobra R elec. crankcase evac. pump. I haven't been to the dyno with it to see if it does any good or not. But when I do I'll turn it off for one run and see what it does. Here's a few pics...

P.......that pump only pulls about 5 inches of vaccum. Not really enough to do anything. I used that pump for a little while but it really did not help much. I now went to a Moroso 3 vane pump.

Thanks for the tips on the vacuum info you two. Ya know my buddy did something similar on his 93 Formula 383, but he used the vacuum eduction setup for longtubes, personally I don't care for that setup in that it's not much vacuum compared to a pump setup. Another thing I'd like to do is set this up with all AN fittings on custom welded tall vavle covers along with an oil catch can.

recommendation taken, so what do you recommend then if not electric, the crank vacuum options are new to me, think I understand the basic principle of it now but not clear on all the best options for obtaining vacuum for this.
