Dynomax quiet? Compared to a flowmaster, how much better is a dynomax super turbo muffler? I heard the sound of a dynomax, compared to a flowmaster and the flowmaster was much louder. Why is that? I would think the louder your car, the more power your getting. I guess that isn't the case though.
Is the dynomax muffler just quiet or something? I heard it's supposed to give more power over the flowmaster...

I ran the Dynomax on my car for a long time, and it wasn't that quiet. Compared to a flowy it was but it had a great sound, till i gutted the cat then it was raspy as hell 
I switched from a Slowmaster to a Dynomax Bullet, and the car has alot more low-end torque. It also has some crazy base, you can feel it standing next to it. I can't wait to put the LT's on it, and hear how it sounds. I am still keeping the CAT on it, that gives it the Base.

Flowmaster's are made for sound, not power. I have a Dynomax Ultraflo sitting around and it's a straight through design with packing material. That keeps it quieter but allows for similar flow to a straight pipe. I had the Hooker Aerochamber mufflers on my old 68 Camaro and they are the same thing, straight through with packing and it gave it a nice rumble at idle(not as loud as FM) but it really opened up when you floored it. But the nice thing was that cruise speeds were very mellow and not obnoxious.

i got my z28 with a flowmaster and that thing sounds soooo damn nice... i heard it does choke up the car a lot though, dynamx should be better in terms of power
does anyone know if the flowmaster mufflers are more restrictive than stock???
