guide plate help????!?!?!?!?!
guide plate help????!?!?!?!?! ok, well I'll fill you guys in on my previous dealings on here..then my main question.
I have 1.7rr non self aligning. before I had the sound I wanted...really loby... then I installed my guideplates. I cannot hear a lobe. it ran like it did beforeI put in the cam.
these guideplates raised my rockers up an 1/8th of an inch...and they tick...but they stay straight.
my theory: when the plates raised the rockers up I am not getting the lift I once was without them. how do I get that geometry back? would it be ok if I cut the guidplates? is there a longer stud that goes into the head that has a shorter section on top to lower the rockers back down? I am stumped.
any info on this would help me out big time!!!!!!!! please help?!?!?!?!
