Default throttle body question.

Ok, i have a basically stock 97 Z28. It has a Loudmouth II exhaust and an offbrand CAI. I am looking at getting a throttle body air foil for my stock throttle body. I can get one for about $20. Would I get a noticeable horsepower gain OR should I spend more and go with a 52mm throttle body. If i would go with the 52, would i notice more power with the setup i have or would i have to add a bunch of stuff to make it noticeable?

You wont notice the power difference in a 52mm TB. Nor will you notice the difference in an air foil. But if you plan on upgrading latter on I would go with the TB. over all you get more power out of a 52mm tb

Im pretty sure they have them already built in

As for the first post why dont you not buy either and spend the money on something more useful such as a stall/clutch, headers, gears, etc. Your really not going to feel anything from either one of those mods. The airfoil will help your TB flow like 40 more cfm, so it is worth maybe 1 or 2 hp. For 20 bucks id probably ****** it, but dont buy the TB. get something useful instead

Not really any.
I would have your present TB ported.
I believe the stock is 48MM, I had mine ported another 4MM.

Its just not worth more than $100 IMO.

Dont worry about your TB right now, get other things. Gears/Stall ( if auto ), Headers, are better choices.

If youre going to mess with your TB, you might as well re-do the valvetrain @ the same time if you want to maximize HP.
Say a nicer cam, 1.6 RR's and Roller Lifters.
