what do you mean really bad for your car????? Other than the nasty sound it makes and a couple of HP's drop... nothing bad will happend. $300.00 for an exhaust leak... is that with or with out vasaline? Dude I'm sure it's just a gasket either on the header or the collector. Get the Percy's ($36)for the headers and the collector ($17). so you wont have to deal with exhaust leaks on that part.

$300.00 is way to much

you might not even need a new gasket, just listen for the tick and tighten the nearest bolts as best you can, i had one on my manifolds and that solved the problem.

I have 2 crossthreaded head bolt holes where the header bolts go in...No fun, and I hate that sound. I don't have money to for a shop to heli-coil it either. I COULD just tap it...But I don't know.

Yea, it might be just a couple of loose bolts. I always run it through 3 heat cycles, checking and tightening everything. $300 would get you a new Cat-back, I would have a little word with that place...

I seriously recommend trying to tighten the bolts before you go anywhere, that could solve all your problems

REALLY--just tighten them up..if this problem happens again..get PERCY's CARBON GASKETS...these things are good for high compression and blower motors...if they leak..anything will...STREETWARRIOR96 IS CORRECTO-MUNDO..
