Default Another AC Removal Question..

For those who have deleted the system...did you use the AC delete pulley bracket or run a shorter belt? What are the options here?

I got the bracket ... I don't tihnk you can just run a shorter blet because of the power steering pump location.

Just ordered a ac delete pulley today for a friends car. Part Number: 10115875. Comes with the pulley and bracket. You can find them online from someone like gm parts direct for around $40-50. Or you can get if from a gm dealer. I don't think just a short belt is possible.

That's why I was asking, it would look a lot better. Looks like I'm ordering the pulley and bracket. They're pretty cheap on ebay as well if anyone's interested

You'd have to relocate the alternator and/or the PS and then you could just do a different belt. On my 3rd gen I was lucky to just be able to buy a 3" idler pulley and shorter belt to make it work, but not on lt1s.

I think your only option is the delete pulley. Simple install and you will love not having to work around the AC anymore.

You can't just delete it and get a shorter Belt cause your Tensioner will not function correctly, and cause of where the Power Steering is located. I looked at all of this when I did mine..
